Katherine Wilson, Public Policy Consultant – Biography

Katherine is a public policy specialist with over 20 years experience of working in the public, private and voluntary sectors.

She has particular expertise in the field of public services and equalities where she has developed skills over the years in both policy and communications. She has represented clients in their dealings with Whitehall and Westminster as well as advising on stakeholder engagement and communications projects. Her work as an equalities consultant has also involved assisting organisations with the practical application of these policies in the workplace as part of their overall HR and communications goals. Her clients have included public bodies, including commissions and inspectorates, a leading think tank and a number of major charities.

Katherine’s previous career has included heading up a policy team in a leading communications company and charity. She also worked earlier at the Labour Party’s headquarters, Leeds University Business School and at the TUC where she was a national policy officer specialising in equalities.
